Power door locks and power windows are common systems that fail. Many times a simple switch is the culprit, but often a door lock actuator or window motor requires replacement. Auto Care NW facilities can commonly repair these problems same day (providing parts are available). If that power window or lock doesn’t work, just give us a call.

Power System Flush

This service provides excellent protection of this vital control system by chemically flushing & exchanging the power steering fluid using cleaner & specialized fluid. Recommended every 30,000 miles.

The cooling system consists of the radiator, water pump, cooling fan and various hoses and engine passages and is susceptible to coolant degradation and corrosion damage. Radiator failures and water pumps are some of the main things we see fail but also engine gaskets and hose failures also commonly occur. The potential for engine damage due to poor cooling system operation or component failures is high.

Although we can provide repairs when failures occur, we would prefer to help our customers by providing preventive maintenance such as regular cooling system flushes and replacement of worn hoses before failures occur.

Tune-Up

Quite often, a customer will call and ask for a “Tune-Up” believing that this is the “fix” for a poor running engine, a check engine light, etc. Although in some cases, replacing the spark plugs may repair a poor running engine, it quite often makes no difference simply because it is not the cause of the problem at hand. If you have an engine running problem, we would be happy to help, but we recommend beginning with some basic engine diagnosis

Although, the term “Tune-Up” no longer means what it used to, it is still a term that we use to refer to ignition maintenance related services (replacement of spark plugs, etc.). Most vehicle owner’s manuals specify the appropriate interval for replacement of the spark plugs, etc. and we believe that the best course of action is to follow these recommendations called “Recommended Maintenance” or “Scheduled Maintenance”.? We have access to maintenance schedules for most vehicles and can discuss with you a course of action
